Kevin D. Brown attended Howard University Medical School in Washington, DC and completed 3 years of Internal Medical residency at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. He completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Brown is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. His clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, lipid disorders and osteoporosis.
Dr. Brown is highly experienced with complicated diabetes, insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. He is qualified to perform on-site thyroid ultrasound and sonographically guided fine needle aspiration for thyroid and parathyroid disorders. Dr. Brown is a certified interpreter and performs on-site bone densitometry for patients with osteoporosis, low bone mass (osteopenia) and steroid induced osteoporosis. He also performs evaluations for incidentally found nodules (incidentalomas) in the pituitary, thyroid and adrenal glands. Dr. Brown welcomes patients ages 16 and older.
Dr. Brown and his young family have made their home in the Northern Atlanta area to be closer to family. They enjoy outdoor activities.
